Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to support our accounting operations across multiple business entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to grow their career in accounting or finance. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, basic accounting knowledge, and some familiarity with QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the bookkeeper with day-to-day financial data entry across multiple entities
- Accurately input invoices, bills, receipts, and payments into QuickBooks
- Help reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
- Review data for errors and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks to support accounting operations
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or data entry (training offered)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (helpful but not required)
- Experience with data entry in a financial or accounting environment preferred
- Minimal experience with QuickBooks required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple entities and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field (not required)
- Experience working with multiple companies or entities is a plus
